With this piece, I took portraits of friends and classmates that I see everyday and asked them to write a letter to someone they wish they could speak to, whether to say something they never got the chance to say or to finally speak their mind. I used these letters and reversed them to make them harder to read and to serve as a reflection of the person in the portrait. I aimed to explore perception and how we are perceived by others versus how we truly feel.

I got the chance to experiment with cyanotyping in college and made prints with older film and digital photos printed on transparency paper.
