ABOUT ME
Freya Kildeer is a non-binary multimedia artist and writer living and working in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Their work delves into themes surrounding trauma, mental illness, and memory. They use film, writing, photography, sound, and collage in their practice. Their film work ranges from traditional narrative works such as “One Hell of a Film Final” (2023) and “Date Night” (2023) to more experimental approaches like “POMEGRANATES” (2024) and “tumult” (2024). They have participated in gallery shows such as “girl*” in 2024 with the Femme Photographers Collective, where they displayed their photobook “NOBODY’S HOME” (2023). They have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Filmmaking with a Minor in Creative Writing from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
